Holds requests may be placed via the MAIN catalog, by e-mail to email@example.com, or by phone, 973-334-2980.
The inter-library delivery service is in effect, so requests for items owned by other libraries will be fulfilled.
Once a holds request has been received, the staff will locate the materials. If the materials are available, the patron will be notified via e-mail or phone that the materials are available. Materials will be held for 3 days before returned to collection to be available for other patrons.
Once the holds notification has been received, patron should call the library to schedule a time of pick-up.
All items will be checked out to patrons prior to pick-up with 3 days added to due date to allow for time for a 72 hours quarantine post-drop off (see below)
Pre-checked out items will be placed on a cart on the front porch at pick-up time. Patrons should notify library staff if they prefer to pick up a hold on the Church Street ramp.
The item(s) will be in plastic bags labeled with the patron’s name.
For the safety of our community and staff, we ask that social distancing guidelines be observed during pick-up.
Items must be returned on or before their due date in the Boonton Library’s book bin. All materials will be quarantined for 72 hours before being checked in and will therefore remain on the patron’s account 3 days after the return.
