Good news!

The renovation at 621 Main Street is due to wrap up in the next few weeks and the library will be on the move.

Here is our planned agenda for moving and reestablishing operations in our updated building:

September 27:
Last day of library operations in the temporary space. Library movers arrive bright and early on
September 29.

September 28-October 13:
The Library will be closed as we move and reestablish business at 621 Main Street.

Be sure to stop by on Boonton Day, September 28, for a sneak peek of the renovated interior.

October 14:
621 Main St location reopens full time!

Thank you for your patience and flexibility during the past several months. The staff is looking forward to seeing and working with you again in our updated library!

Look at some of the building’s history

childrens room

This is a neat view from the reading room into the side Children’s room during the removal of the paneling.
The paneling is removed from the front room but is still hanging in the back room.
You can see the original layers of  lathe and board that existed under the paneling.
Also, the original wood floor can be seen.
